Please join us at our next Leads@Lunch for a special round table discussion with the City of Hallandale Beach Planning & Zoning Division.
The City of Hallandale Beach is working with residents, local business owners, and citizens to determine if new zoning regulations and design guidelines are needed to meet the vision and values set forth in the Citywide Master Plan.
The goal of the round table discussion is for attendees to brainstorm and share (with the city) their vision of Smart Growth and Complete Streets elements for Hallandale Beach Boulevard from their respective agencies’ perspective. Â This is an opportunity to highlight issues of concern as well as identify opportunities for social, economic, and physical improvements.
Input and recommendations received throughout the planning process will serve as the foundation for a Hallandale Beach Boulevard Corridor Revitalization Plan. The plan will include complete streets strategies and smart growth principles illustrated with design guidelines.
In addition, this process will be used to identify and eliminate redundancies and conflicts within the existing code, expedite the development review process, and create a more predictable and seamless review of development proposals along the corridor.
Marketing efforts, business retention, economic incentives and CRA programs will all be addressed.
Ultimately, the final plan will link the social and cultural strengths of Hallandale Beach to the economic vitality of the gateway corridor.
